Alderley appoints Dermot Clarke as Managing Director for the Middle East

Alderley plc has announced the appointment of Dermot Clarke as Managing Director for its Middle East business. Dermot joins Alderley with over two decades of experience in the global energy sector and a first-rate track record of growing successful teams. 

In his new role, Dermot’s responsibilities will include growing the footprint of the Alderley Group of companies in the region with a strong focus on key markets in Qatar, the UAE and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he will be based (Dammam). 

Dermot will also oversee Alderley’s offer based on best-in-class energy solutions to the wider region including Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, and Oman. Dermot will oversee an Alderley team of around 150 with operations and facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Dermot joins Alderley from Marubeni Middle East & Africa Power where he served as Vice President for over five years. Previously, Dermot, with a background in the power generation industry, was Regional Sales Director for the Middle East Gas Business of Alstom Power.
