New emergency relief valve delivers superior sealing and performance

LaMOT Valve & Arrestor, a global leader in pressure and vacuum relief solutions, has released the Models L22E & LV22E Emergency Relief Valves, engineered to deliver rapid overpressure protection with industry-leading sealing performance and exceptional flow rates.

Designed for API 2000 / ISO 28300 compliance, the Models L22E (pre-configured) & LV22E (fully configurable) open fully at just 10% overpressure, venting large volumes during fire or upset conditions to help prevent tank rupture. Enhanced sealing technology limits fugitive emissions to no more than 1 SCFH at 90% of set pressure, supporting both safety and environmental goals.

“Operators are looking for more than just emergency protection — they want reliability, tighter sealing and easy installation,” said Trey Rothenberger, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at LaMOT Valve & Arrestor. “The Models L22E and LV22E deliver all three, making it one of the most efficient and maintenance-friendly emergency vents on the market today.”

The pressure/vacuum relief valve is engineered for dependable operation, minimal maintenance, and full compatibility with major industry standards. Its advanced manufacturing process delivers superior seal integrity, ensuring minimal leakage and reduced emissions during operation. Independent testing and verification by LRQA confirm that the valve meets the high-flow performance requirements of API 2000 and ISO 28300 standards.

Designed as a true drop-in replacement, it matches ASME #150, API 12, and API 650 bolt patterns across sizes ranging from 4 to 24 inches, making installation simple and efficient. The valve’s low-maintenance construction features a straightforward, durable design that makes inspection and servicing easy.

Available in carbon steel or stainless steel body materials, with stainless steel or optional aluminium pallets, the valve offers diaphragm choices of Buna-N, FKM, or FEP to suit various applications. Pressure settings range from 6.92 to 69.2 inches of water column, depending on size. Fully compliant with API 2000 and ISO 28300, this valve provides a reliable, efficient solution for controlling pressure and protecting storage systems.
