The Zubair Oil Field Development Project is a significant undertaking in the energy sector, aimed at advancing Iraq’s irrigation and diesel storage infrastructure. The end-user for this project is the Iraq General Company for Execution of Irrigation Projects, with MOD Construction Operation & Maintenance serving as the main contractor.
ERGIL handled the engineering, design, and supply of a prefabricated diesel storage tank with the following specifications: a cone roof (fixed conical) tank type with a capacity of 105 m³, a diameter of 5,500 mm, and a height of 4,750 mm. The design codes include API 650 for the shell and roof, and EN 1090-1 & EN 1090-2 for the structure, with a design pressure of -2.5 / +7.5 mbar g.
Additionally, the scope includes a 10” emergency relief valve (1 unit), a 2” pressure vacuum vent (1 unit), an 8” flame arrestor (1 unit), and a 2” floating suction unit (1 unit) with end connections of ANSI 150# RF.
