Cargostore and HALEYS Forge game-changing partnership

In a move that could reshape the logistics backbone of Qatar’s booming energy sector, Cargostore Worldwide and HALEYS Group Middle East have officially joined forces to expand their offshore Cargo Carrying Unit (CCU) rental business.

This strategic partnership is poised to deliver a reliable supply of certified, high-quality DNV 2.7-1 Containers, including refrigerated reefers- meeting the increasing demand driven by Qatar’s ongoing offshore oil and gas projects.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Sohail Ashraf, Cargostore’s Middle East Director, and Satheesh Radhakrishnan, Business Development Director of HALEYS Group, expressed their shared vision of setting a new benchmark in offshore container solutions for Qatar’s energy industry. The agreement brings together Cargostore’s global supply network and HALEYS’ local expertise, creating a one-stop solution for companies operating in Qatar’s offshore fields.

Qatar’s continued expansion of its North Field and Al-Shaheen field projects, which will boost LNG output, necessitates highly specialized logistical support. Offshore projects rely on DNV- certified containers to safely transport equipment and hazardous materials. The partnership ensures that oil and gas operators have seamless access to these critical containers through HALEYS’ operations in Qatar.

Andrew Hart, CEO of Cargostore emphasized the impact: “We are excited to partner with HALEYS as we expand our operations in Qatar. Our robust, certified containers are a perfect fit for the demands of the offshore oil and gas industry, and we look forward to a successful collaboration to support vital projects in the region.”

Jassi Chakkamattil, CEO of HALEYS echoed this sentiment: “Our mission is to support Qatar’s growing energy sector with local, on-the-ground expertise. This partnership allows us to maintain a high standard of service, ensuring projects stay on time and within safety regulations.”

As Qatar positions itself as a global energy leader, this partnership aligns with the country’s National Vision 2030. The HALEYS-Cargostore collaboration not only ensures that local operators can meet safety and environmental standards but also contributes to sustainable economic growth by providing logistical solutions that are both efficient and eco-friendly.

Cargostore’s EcoVadis bronze award for sustainability, a recognition that places it in the top 35% of companies globally, underscores the joint commitment to environmental responsibility. This forward-thinking approach ensures that the partnership will not only serve current needs but also contribute to Qatar’s long-term energy and environmental goals.

The HALEYS-Cargostore partnership is set to deliver real, tangible benefits to Qatar’s oil and gas industry. By providing a safe, reliable, and sustainable solution to the growing demand for DNV 2.7-1 Containers, including refrigerated reefers rentals, the collaboration marks a significant step forward for the country’s energy infrastructure.
