Two new positions reinforce the RAM Board

RAM Tubulars are delighted to announce the creation of two new positions, with Mark Kerr and Liam Stewart promoted to Sales Director and Operations Director respectively.

Mark Kerr joined the company in 2017 as Regional Sales Manager and has been instrumental in creating opportunities for further growth both nationally and internationally over the past six years. He was promoted to Global OCTG Manager in 2019, and responsible for launching RAM Premium in the same year. With a solid track record of delivering results in the energy sector, he continues to be an asset to the business amid further expansion, as Managing Director Jim Stewart explained:

“Mark’s consistent focus and dedication to RAM Tubulars has been of vital importance in driving the company forward. He’s been a key driver of recent sales successes, and as new opportunities open up, Mark is the ideal candidate to capitalise on them as we look to break into new markets and consolidate existing ones.”

Liam Stewart’s promotion to Operations Director comes at an exciting time for RAM Tubulars, with a new storage and distribution depot having opened at the start of the year in Goole, Yorkshire to bolster their logistical capability, and plans afoot to establish a decommissioning facility at their Birchwood site in Aberdeenshire. He is closely involved with the North American arm of the business, RAM Tubulars Inc. based in Houston, Texas, having joined the business in 2021 with a background in computer science and business development.

“Liam has made a number of valuable improvements to streamline the way we work technologically, such as upgrading our Material Tracking System for more accuracy, efficiency and transparency. It’s measures like this that will ensure the business is future-proofed going forward as a global player in the energy sector,” says Fiona Stewart, Commercial Director.

RAM Tubulars develops new uses for surplus and used drill pipe, tubulars and casings, and also offers a multitude of new tubulars. It has become a leading supplier of tubulars for use in the energy and construction industries, and provide a full lifecycle service using new, premium and recycled materials.

RAM Tubulars’ origins can be traced back to 1993, when Jim and Fiona Stewart established Reusables and Metals from a base at the Fordoun Airfield in Aberdeenshire. With industry-leading environmental accreditation and a sixth sense for adding value to material that others see as scrap, RAM Tubulars has become a truly global multi-purpose operation, with offices in the UK and the USA. They are a member of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, and a long-standing supporter of Aberdeen Football Club’s Youth Academy.
